This 1961 A-frame cabin, located 20 minutes from Yosemite’s South Gate and Bass Lake, is a nostalgic step back in time. The home had been well loved, with only one previous owner (the builder) and we wanted to give it a thoughtful facelift while preserving the knotty pine interior. We updated the kitchen by repainting the cabinetry, added a built-in custom bed in the bedroom, brought in high-lacquer emerald green paint in the bathroom, and gave the exterior a gorgeous peach-and-green refresh. An eclectic mix of art, furniture, and lighting was curated to transport guests back in time and create a quirky little escape from the city.
