Breezy Bungalow
Westchester, Los Angeles
This home had been weighed down by dated 1980s/90s upgrades and was ready for a refresh. We needed to toe the line between the wife’s more adventurous aesthetic palette and the husband’s more conservative sensibility. It was an opportunity to bring in splashes of color and pattern in smaller spaces, like the TV room and water closet, while grounding the home in more classic design choices. Standout moments include the primary bathroom, water closet, and bedroom, where we were able to explore a more playful color story. The front landscaping was also completely reimagined, transforming a wasteful front lawn into a California native-meets-English garden pollinator paradise.
