The Allison
Franklin Village, CA
This fabulous 1920s apartment building on Franklin Boulevard in Hollywood was yet another drab, sad, beige complex in need of a refresh. The new owners wanted to update both the exterior and lobby and create something that would stand out among the sea of beige properties lining the street. We immediately knew we wanted to harken back to a more jewel-toned, vibrant color story inspired by old Hollywood and Mexico City’s Condesa neighborhood. The new teal exterior is a total showstopper and beautifully complements the jacaranda trees out front, especially when they’re in bloom. The lobby entrance was updated with Art Deco-inspired wallpaper and colorful mustard seating.
